Full Members:  Full members are any Chief Executive Officer of any law enforcement agency in the State of Iowa; including division heads of state, and Special Agents in Charge (SAC), or designees, of federal law enforcement agencies within Iowa. On a case-by-case basis, the Executive Board may approve or deny applications for membership eligibility made by individuals who do not fall within the given definition, but whose membership may be beneficial to the Association. 

Associate Members:  Associate members are sponsored by a full member and include those of rank below the Chief Executive Officer.  Associate members do not have voting privileges and cannot hold office. The Executive Board may approve or deny applications for associate memberships made by individuals who do not fall within the given definition, but whose membership may be beneficial to the Association.

Retired Members:  Retired members are any retired Full Members. The Executive Board may approve or deny applications for retired memberships made by individuals who do not fall within the given definition, but whose participation may be beneficial to the Association. Retired members do not have office holding or voting privileges.

Lifetime Members: Lifetime members are any full member who have been an active member in good standing for over 10 years and who have retired in good standing. Lifetime members will not be required to pay an annual membership fee. The Executive Board may approve applications for Lifetime Members who do not fall within the given definition, but whose membership may be beneficial to the Association. Lifetime members do not have office holding or voting privileges. 

Sustaining Members:  Sustaining members are corporations, businesses, or persons that desire to financially or otherwise support the Association and its mission. A Sustaining member will be granted opportunities to promote itself/product, as determined by the Executive Board. This can include, but not limited to; a website link on the Association’s webpage, reduced vendor rates/fee at conferences, and the use of the Association logo. Sustaining members do not have office holding or voting privileges.
